Psychological drama

Eldy (Dany Rytenberg), a high-school teacher in Israel, is still in shock after seeing his friend die in front of him in a fight on the streets of Janine, during the Intifada. Instead of following his wife’s Efrat’s (Avital Dicker) advice and taking some time off in Paris, Eldy immerses himself in the underground world of foreign workers in Tel-Aviv where he meets Shaul (Amos Lavi) and Eliana (Raymonde Amsallem). He would never be the same person again.

Directed and written by Haim Bouzaglo.
Cast: Danny Rytenberg (Eldy), Avital Dicker (Efrat), Amos Lavi (Shaul), Raymonde Amsallem (Eliana).

Owen Shapiro, Director of Syracuse
''It is amazing how Haim Bouzaglo makes characters and what motivates them. He generates existential moments that are full of character ''behavior'' that makes the audience ''fill in the gaps''. This strategy forces the audience into an active, rather than passive, role in constructing the narrative. I think that in part, is what makes his film so very powerful and psychologically intriguing''.
